The Collection Needs Assessment Program: Supplies Grant
, administered by Greater Hudson Heritage Network in partnership with the New York State Council on the Arts, supports requests to purchase collection management supplies for qualified musuems in New York State. For the Spring grant funding cycle, 32 grant applications were received from institutions from 23 counties in New York State, requesting an aggregate of $22,004 in grant support. In all, 26 organizational awards totaling $16,189
were recommended for funding. The 2017 Collection Needs Assessment Program: Supplies Grant awards range from $183 to $750.
Of the 32 applicant institutions, eight had a general operating budget under $20,000, three had budgets over $21,000 but below $50,000, four had budgets over $51,000 but under $100,000, eight had a budget between $101,000 to $500,000, six organizations had budgets between $501,000 and $1million, and one organization had a budget over $4 million.
