Business Briefs
At CEFCU's recent Annual Meeting, the Credit Union reported outstanding achievements for 2016.  At the end of the year, assets were over $5.6 billion, which is an increase of over 6% compared to 2015.  Total membership for 2016 grew by over 6,500 members.  

Morton Fine Arts Association presents Arts in the Park on Thursday nights from June 22 to July 27. These live concerts will be held in the Idlewood Arts Pavilion. Learn more at www.mortonfinearts.org.
Morton Tourism News

The Morton Tourism Association (MTA) met with several business leaders/members on May 19 at the Chamber office. The next meeting will be 8 am on June 16 at the Tourism office, 200 South First Avenue.

The Morton Downtown Dining Stroll will be on June 1 from 5 - 7:30 pm. Eight Morton restaurants will be offering selections. Tickets will cost $1 and will be sold at the event.

Super Hero Day will be downtown on Saturday, June 10 from 
10 am to 3 pm.

All American Girl Day will be downtown on Saturday, June 17 from 10 am to 3 pm.

Morton Night with the Chiefs will be Saturday, June 17 at 
6:30 pm. Fred Bird appearance, fireworks, and a concert by Jason Gray.

Morton Chalk Challenge will be downtown on Saturday, June 24 from 8 am to 9 pm. Cash prizes for winners. 3D Chalk Artist Shaun Hays will be creating a premier piece.

Facade Grant Submittal Deadline June 13

The Building Facade Improvement Grant Program of the Village of Morton makes funds available to owners of properties and businesses located within the Morton Business District to provide financial assistance for the rehabilitation of the exterior of commercial buildings. Deadline to submit grants is June 13 at 5 pm at the Morton Village Hall, 120 North Main Street.
