In honor of National Pizza Party day on May 19th, we wanted to share our favorite type of pizza with our readers!

Barb I love the big gooey traditional ones with cheese that makes bubbles on the edge and is kind of browned. No meat but it can have veggies.

TimmyI am a pizza purist - cheese, thin crust, cooked well!

LisaGreen peppers & pineapple

Dana - M ushroom and onion!

Karen E. Mushrooms, green peppers and onions! Also, love a Margherita pizza.

Karen B. -  Deep dish vegetable pizza!

Sarah - I like to mix it up with my pizza - a little bit of this, a little bit of that. My go-to is a white pizza with arugula and prosciutto.

HeatherPepperoni deep dish! The more meat and cheese, the better.

May 2017

From the Desk of Barb Clapp...
Back in our March newsletter I told you about my upcoming volunteer trip to Best Friends Animal Society in Utah. Well, I'm back from my trip and it was life changing. I volunteered at Dogtown, Horse Haven and Piggy Paradise. Lots of sad but happy stories. I fed, walked, trained, hugged and sat with the dogs and was asked to walk Tippy Toes and Jasmine, the pigs to the visitor's center from Piggy Paradise. A good hour-and-a- half walk. One of the slowest, most fun times!!! I also fed lots of pigs, cleaned their pens and fell in love with a pig named Rose. We worked in the canyons to muck, groom and feed the horses. It was hard, dirty and wonderful work. Best Friends Animal Society is a no-kill sanctuary that houses 1,700 animals of all kinds. Every animal has a story and the way they treat them while they are alive and when they die is so dignified. Best Friends has pledged to make all shelters in the United States no-kill by 2025. I can tell you that I certainly gained more than I gave.
