The Season of Serenity Settles in at Anza-Borrego Desert

Some folks come to Anza-Borrego to find a warm winter destination. They usually find quite a number of others that are thinking the same way they are. This past season was a good example of that when in March, the "superbloom" brought tens of thousands of new visitors.

Other folks come to Borrego Springs to get away from the crowds, and their time of year has arrived. If you are one of the latter, and you don't mind the warm afternoon temperatures, your source of peaceful solitude is waiting here for you.

Our area continues to be the source of much attention this year. Here is a link to a great article that appeared recently in the Los Angeles Times. The writer David Kelly did a great job of capturing the essence of Anza-Borrego and there is lots of great photography by Luis Sinco, too.

If the geology of our area is of interest to you,  there is a fascinating blog post here about the "Rocky Backbone" of Anza-Borrego.

If a quiet park, a serene swimming pool, and dead-still quiet evenings under the stars sound appealing to you, your time of year in Anza-Borrego has arrived. Summer rates for full-hookup RV sites are as low as $29 per night plus electricity with a minimum of 3 nights.
