IMPORTANT UPDATE ON AGENT AND EDITOR CONSULTATIONS
At this time, all registrants for the A&E Conference are allowed up to two (2) one-on-one consultations with agents and editors (Previously, this was capped at one consultation, and we're happy to be able to increase this to two for those who are interested). Yes, this means that if you received a complimentary consultation or have already purchased one, you may now purchase a second consultation. We can also happily confirm that, at the time of this mailer, every registrant who has submitted a consultation form to date will be meeting with their first choice. Keep that in mind if you decide to purchase an additional slot.

For an up-to-date list of agents and editors with available consultation slots and a link to the Consultation Purchase Form, click here.

Laurie McLean spent 20 years as the CEO of a multi-million dollar marketing agency and 8 years as a literary agent/senior agent at Larsen Pomada Literary Agents before co-founding Fuse Literary in 2013. At Fuse Lit Laurie specializes in adult, middle grade, and young adult genre fiction. Laurie is also the co-director of the San Francisco Writers Conference, in its fifteenth year, and co-founded two ePublishing companies: JoyrideBooks.com for romance, and Ambush Books for tween and teen books (acquired by Short Fuse Publishing in 2015). JOIN US: Sunday Closing Luncheon
(It's free! But please RSVP)
We'll close the 2017 Agents & Editors Conference with a Sunday Closing Luncheon that's free to all registrants and will include a buffet lunch. Hosted in the Hyatt's Texas Ballroom at 12:15pm on Sunday, July 2, this event offers you an opportunity to share highlights from the weekend, mix and mingle with fellow attendees, and enjoy one last general session to share a meal and a few parting words before we head back home. Oh, and in addition to final announcements from the conference staff we'll also have some special guests on hand to entertain and inspire.

The Closing Luncheon will cap a Sunday program that begins with coffee and breakfast treats in the Texas Foyer and Ballroom, where we'll encourage you to sit with other writers with projects in your category or genre. After breakfast, you will be able to choose from 10 presentations from agents, authors, and publishing professionals.

Important: While this luncheon is open to all registrants at no extra charge, we do require that you RSVP no later than Thursday, June 22, so that we can share attendance information with the hotel. Not everybody can stick around to share this meal, and we completely understand. But if you do plan to be there, please RSVP in a timely manner. This will be a ticketed event and only those who RSVP will receive tickets. Questions? Call us at 512-499-8914.
PLUS: Don't Forget These Deadlines and Opportunities.
1. Reserve Your Hotel Room.
The conference venue, the Hyatt Regency Austin, has set aside a block of discounted rooms for A&E Conference registrants for dates before, during, and after the event. The special group rate expires after June 1. Only a few rooms remain, so book now!

To learn about the hotel and book your rooms, click here.

2. Purchase Your Saturday Keynote Luncheon Ticket.
We're thrilled to bring acclaimed and award-winning author Ken Liu to the 2017 A&E Conference for a Saturday Keynote Luncheon speech, Three Times My Career Almost Ended and How I Learned to Love This Unpredictable Life.

Ken Liu's novels and stories have been widely praised and have earned him a long list of awards, but he nearly quit writing (more than once) before winning any of them. No stranger to the rejection, self doubt, and setbacks that all writers face, Ken will share with us his own eye-opening and inspiring story, including the highs and lows of his journey to being a published author and what it is about "this unpredictable life" of a writer he just can't quit.

To purchase a ticket (which includes a 3-course meal and a complimentary copy of Ken's novel, The Grace of Kings), click here.
