Selected Titles for May 2017
Welcome to our spring newsletter!

In typical New England fashion, it was 50 degrees 4 days ago, and today sets a record at 95 degrees. It's time to plant the vegetables.

Our pictures are from 2 recent events:
the paint samples were on display at the Architectural Paint Conference at Columbia University during the last snow storm.
And the second shot is of me and my daughter Kimberly (and friend) at my association's annual spring book fair in Lexington, Massachusetts.

This summer we will be the bookstore at several preservation events. Stay tuned!

Happy Browsing!

Beginning with Isaac Raap, this family of architects designed buildings all across the nation. Four of his sons opened two separate firms, one in Chicago, and the other in Trinidad, Colorado.  The Chicago firm was known for its theater designs including the famous Paramount Theater in New York City and the New Fischer Theater in Detroit.  The Colorado firm's Pueblo style architectural is still influential. In addition to being architectural history, this is a fascinating story of how a family business was passed on from one generation to the other. (16619)    $35.00
