COMING THIS MONTH...
  • The virtue in Kidz Church for the month of May is Creativity, which means we will be teaching the kids "Imagining what you could do because you're made in God's image".
     
  • The Bible Bucks Store will be open this weekend, June 4th & 5th. 
WHAT WILL MY CHILD LEARN THIS MONTH?

WEEK 1
Bottom Line: God made everything. When we see how God created the world around us, we see who we are in light of His grandeur and majesty. The psalmist writes, What are human beings that you [God] think about them? (Psalm 8:4, NIrV). God created us apart from the rest of creation when He created us in His image, and when we create; we reflect His image to the world around us.

WEEK 2
Bottom Line: God made you. This is not something to take lightly. Out of everything God could have done, He created each and every person on the planet to be like Him as they interact with each other and with the world. We pray that kids discover that how God made them is unique and wonderful. Because God made them, they have value beyond what they do because of who they are as God's child.

WEEK 3
Bottom Line: God made you to imagine. Adam's job of taking care of the earth has become our job. We need our God-given imagination to solve problems, help people, and create whatever is necessary to fulfill our responsibilities. We pray that kids will discover that imagination is more than creating art and music, but is something that God has given them to make a difference in the world.

WEEK 4
Bottom Line: God made you to know Him. We know now that God sent Jesus to make a way for us to truly know Him again. We pray that kids will discover that no matter what they've done or how far away they feel from God, that Jesus came to make a way for them to be right with God. God made us know Him, and that's possible because of Jesus.
Family Ministries Step Up Day

On July 2nd and 3rd, our kids and students will be moving up! We will be welcoming the incoming kindergarteners and will be moving our 4th graders up to Club 56. On Step up day the children will have new groups and leaders. There will be staff around to make sure everyone knows where to go!

THREE MEALTIME QUESTIONS THAT CHANGE EVERYTHING (INCLUDING THE QUALITY OF YOUR FOOD)

Just kidding about that last part, but they could change a lot of things about how you talk about faith.

If your house is anything like mine, the bath time and bedtime routine can often turn into a soul-sucking vortex of blood, sweat, and tears. All evening long, I feel like I'm herding cats. But not even nice cats. I'm talking about the mean kind of cats who hiss and scratch and ignore you when you speak.

CAMP CURTIS LAKE
 
Camp Curtis Lake is a great way for kids in grades K-6 to spend their summer in an environment that is fun and engaging. At Camp Curtis Lake kids will participate in a wide variety of activities that are designed to teach new skills, help them feel at home in the outdoors, increase confidence through health achievement, and have fun. Weekly activities will include swimming, crafts, games, sports, field trips, outdoor living skills, and a weekly field trip.

Program Hours: 6:30am - 6:00pm
Sessions are offered weekly throughout the entire summer.
