Participants will learn and practice the alignment of foundation, dynamic muscular activation, as well as balanced energetic action as applied in all yoga poses and movements. Our medium is the practical application of Bandhas (body locks), Mantras (Sanskrit Sounds used to still the mind), Pranayam (the yoga of breathing), as well as breath retention within the space of yoga postures. Ryan's inspiring and uplifting delivery consists of the most effective techniques discovered in his 12 years of study. You will come into direct contact with your subtle energy system, resulting in profound healing and quantum transformation. Ryan will also share a guided meditation with a live musical mantra savasana. A class designed for anyone looking to mobilize the energy in their body through yoga. Summer Solstice Yoga Nidra

The Summer Solstice marks the longest exposure of sunlight the onset of summer, and a shift where daylight hours gradually shortening back to balance between light and dark.  The summer solstice is a time to honor our connection with the sun, the nourishment it provides, and the fire element's nature to catalyze change.    
According to the Chandogya Upanishad, the Hita nadi connects the heart of each individual to the sun, making this a time to celebrate by all that recognize this nourishing connection.  This summer solstice yoga nidra practice will focus on our connection to the sun, fire's ability to burn away impurities, and will leave us transformed, nourished, and energized for the most abundant time of year.
 
Yoga Nidra is a practice of yogic sleep, in which the practitioner reaches the deepest state of relaxation while maintaining a fully lucid consciousness.  Yoga nidra develops a deeper relationship with your Self, cleanses the body and mind of tension, and related symptoms including headaches, neck tension, digestion disruptions, insomnia, and has been proven to benefit survivors of PTSD, and chronic pain.  Yoga nidra decreases cortisol levels, depression, anxiety,  promotes physical and psychological wellbeing, vitality, general health, stress management (Srivastava, Neena, Khushbu Rani, Sc Tiwari, Uma Singh, Gg Agrawal, and Archana Ghildiyal. You will be first guided through surya bhedana, a pranayama practice that increase internal heat and digestive power, soothes and invigorates nerves, and cleanses sinuses, and then a Yoga Nidra practice that will journey between an awakened state and a deep sleep of the body.  Expect to feel totally relaxed and free from all external situations, circumstances, etc.
