Monsooned coffees are stored in special warehouses until the Monsoon season comes around, when the sides of the structure are opened and moist monsoon winds circulate around the coffee making it swell in size and take on a mellowed but aggressive, musty flavor.
This is an extremely earthy, pungent cup with a unique combination of caramelly finish and potent flavors. Because of the processing method, it is an extremely low acid coffee.

An approachable blend developed especially for people preferring a very straightforward cup. Utilizing excellent Central and South American inputs, this coffee is full and balanced. We do change the inputs according to season, quality and availability to achieve a consistent flavor profile.
Full body, heavy mouthfeel. Anchored with deep chocolate notes. Rounded with light fruit nuances of apple and kiwi.

It's been a while since we have featured oldie but goodie coffees. The Breakfast Blend is a nice, morning cup of coffee. It is a crowd pleaser, meaning it's what most people think of when they are thinking about a good 'ol cup of coffee. The India Monsooned Malabar, on the other hand, is a unique coffee. It is a weathered coffee, left out under a patio, during the monsoon season. The process takes around 12-16 months. Jim spent June 2010 in India, watching the monsooning process. Have you checked out Western Wake Farmers Market's two locations? The Morrisville location (260 Town Hall Drive) is open year-round. Regular season is April-November, Saturdays, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. Winter season is December-March, Saturdays, 9:30 am - 12:00 pm.
The UNC Wellness location (350 Stonecroft Lane, Cary) is open seasonally, from May- Labor Day Weekend, Sundays, 10 am - 2 pm. Muddy Dog is at both locations!
