A Perfect Day
Miss Meg recommends A Perfect Day by Lane Smith

This simple story shows different perspectives of what is perfect, and ultimately, lets the reader know that "perfect" is in the eye of the beholder. Cat loves lying in a garden of daffodils and dog loves sitting in a pool of water. The story is mostly told through textured illustrations depicting the animals in joyous settings. Repetition is used to keep the story focused which will appeal to the young reader. The surprise ending when Bear pops onto the scene will both rattle and delight!
