We spend so much time EACH WEEK gathering together what is important to YOU and your ministry. Please take the time to read through the Newsletter each week. I think you will find that it is a  critical link between you and what YOU NEED TO KNOW! The Weekly Newsletter should contain all the dates (and/or link to the District Calendar), resources and important information that YOU as Ministers, Students and Lay Ministers in the NC East District need to have at your fingertips. We plan to have  ONE EMAIL EACH WEEK, going out each Thursday. It will include links to web information, forms and contact info for people that you need connect with. Please...
  • FORWARD TO STAFF AND LEADERS IN YOUR CHURCH OR MINISTRY - Please send this Newsletter to your staff and leaders on a regular basis, or email Debbie in the District Office, and she can add the people that are important to you and your ministry to the email list. 
  • SUBMISSIONS TO THE NEWSLETTER - If you have something that needs to go in the Newsletter, please send it to the District Office no later than Wednesday of each week. In an attempt to respect EVERYONE on our Communication List we will not be sending solo emails except under extenuating circumstances. PLEASE PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY - Let's Work Together!

It's that time of year again...
   Time to Take Care of Business! 

END OF YEAR and CONFERENCE...What's Required?

  1. All STUDENTS, CREDENTIALED LAY, LICENSED MINISTERS and ORDAINED MINISTERS are required to: Fill out your ASR online on the PORTAL and you are required to attend the DISTRICT CONFERENCE on Friday, July 14th at Durham newhope Church from 9 a.m. - 4:30, with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m.
  2. If you are unable to attend Conference for some reason, you must request permission to be absent from the Conference from D.S. Jonathan Lewis.
  3. CHURCH REPORTS - Please send your Memorial Report, Mission's Report, Children's Report, Youth Report and List of Delegates to Debbie Barwick in the District Office NO LATER THAN JUNE 10th. (These reports will be available on the District Website starting May 25th)
  4. CHURCHES - Please complete your STATISTICAL REPORT on the Portal NO LATER THAN JUNE 10th. You can fill it out through your Pastor Portal login or we can set up an account for an Admin or Volunteer in your church...just let us know.)

THE CALLED 2017
High School Students: Could God be calling you to ministry? Want to unpack this calling with passion and insight? You won't want to miss The Called 2017. The Called Camp is a 7-day intensive summer experience designed to help high school students dive into the Bible, anchor their faith as their own, define their calling to service, and explore options for full-time ministry engagement.
Students have the option to choose between four ministry tracks:
  • Adventure Ministry
     
  • Missional Outreach
     
  • Worship Ministry
