University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc: If you're a fan of the TV show "Fixer Upper", you won't want to miss this! We are getting ready to transform the UW-Manitowoc campus into a state-of-the art, bright and beautiful space that will benefit our students and the entire community. The $6 million major campus renovation starts later this month. To celebrate this milestone, we are hosting a demolition kickoff and Picnic by the Lake on May 23 from 4:00-6:00pm. Please join us! Manitowoc Public Library: Patrick's Dewane's grandfather didn't discuss his WWII experiences, but he wrote about them, chronicling the events in a journal discovered 20 years after his death. Patrick turned that incredible story into a multimedia show called "The Accidental Hero." Patrick and Special Guest, Carl Sieracki, will give a presentation at the Manitowoc Public Library on Monday, May 22, at 6:00pm, that contrasts his grandfather's wartime odyssey with the lives of citizens at home along the Lakeshore. Lakeshore Humane Society: Our 3rd Annual Putting for Pets Golf Outing benefiting Manitowoc County's homeless animals will be held Monday, June 26, at 11:00am at The Golf Course at Branch River.
