Women Of Grace Update

Join Us Next Week --- Women of Grace Summer Programs

Tuesday Night Video Discussion Series:  "Gospel in Life - Grace Changes Everything"
  • June 13 - August 1 (no session on July 4)

  • 8 to 9 p.m. with Angela Jacobson ([email protected])
  • Fees:  $2 for video; optional study guide available online

Join author and pastor Timothy Keller in an eight-week video-based st udy of the gospel and how to liv
e it out in everyday life. Topics range from the city, your home now, and "the world that is" in week one, to themes of the eternal city, your heavenly home, and "the world that is to come" in week eight. In between you'll learn how the gospel can change your heart, your community, and how you live in this world.

Plan to watch a short video clip together in class (20 minutes) and then discuss the week's topic.  Participants may also purchase an additional study guide to augment their learning.

Wednesday Night Book Club:  "Adorned:  "Living Out the Beauty of the Gospel Together"
  • June 14 - August 9 (no session on July 5)
  • 7 pm until 8:30 p.m. with Ann Stegall ([email protected])
  • Fees:  Participants are responsible for securing their own book.  (Purchase in hard back or audio book, or listen free of charge on hoopla.com using your Lawrence Public Library membership)
This book explores the life-to-life model from Titus 2, the sharing of life between older and younger women.  Author Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth reminds us that every woman --- teaching out of her strengths and her failures --- can point others to the amazing grace of God.

Plan on reading two chapters per week and then discussing the content in small groups (6 to 8 women of varied ages).

FAQs about summer gatherings...
  1. What about childcare during the evening meetings?  Sorry, but childcare is not provided on site during summer gatherings.  If you need a list of screened baby sitters, contact our Paid Caregiver Supervisor Kristin Huerter at [email protected].
  2. What about schedule conflicts?  Our books and formats are selected in part so that women can "come and go" during the summer months.  Attend when you're able to do so, and don't drop out because you're out of town or you go to your child's sports event.
  3. What if I need some more information? Contact the leaders listed above or Katharine Ritter ([email protected]) with further questions.
