A few years ago, Escondido welcomed Stone and Glass, who settled into an industrial building on Simpson Way. Artist James Stone, along with his talented staff, gave hands on workshops and group presentations in glass blowing, while wife Carol Rogers managed the day to day business operations and PR.
Unfortunately, due to a fire at the mattress factory next door, they have not been able to run their business and are being forced to find a new place to call home. Thus this plea from James Stone, "
I am contacting you for two reasons. First and foremost, we need a place to set up and
restart our business here in Escondido, soon. Many people in the community have expressed that they want us to stay here in Escondido and we would dearly love to continue our business here in Escondido. However we have not been able to find and secure a suitable location that can house our business, here in Escondido. We look every day and have several prospects in the works, but nothing has congealed."
So on behalf of Stone and Glass, we are putting the word out. They need a 2000-3000 square foot building with at least 12 foot ceilings, a concrete floor and hopefully a metal roof, roll up door and at least 300 amps of power with some street visibility.
Lets keep this business in Escondido! If you know of a location that may fit their needs, please let us know. They are anxious to "get back to work".
