Reflecting on Alienation during Ramadan
Reflecting on Alienation  during Ramadan

"When a religion ceases to speak from God's perspective, it divides from God and alienates its followers. "
- Imam Feisal
Dear Friends,

As we begin the holy month of Ramadan, I have been reflecting with a heavy heart on the attack in Manchester and on how alienation between human beings and God can result in actions of violence and extremism. I have also been reflecting upon the ways our faith traditions can help us bridge this alienation and anchor our understanding to one that is closer to a God-centric perspective of the world .

I invite you to read my latest piece exploring these ideas, and to start a discussion about this important topic with others on our Facebook page.

With Warm Salaams,

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf
