GBCC Adds New Programs
After listening to students and industry,
Great Bay Community College (GBCC) has added two new tracts to their business administration program to meet employer demand and student interest. Beginning this fall, the college will offer specialties in sports management and in insurance and risk management as part of their Associate of Science in Business Administration degree.
The sports management tract grew out of current and future student interest and GBCC's expanding athletics programs, which recently added baseball and softball. The risk management & insurance specialty grew out of the business sector's concern that there was going to be a shortage of individuals trained in this growing field in the coming years.

Jewelry Creations Welcomes New Owners
Linda and Joe Hagan, who opened Jewelry Creations in 1981 and have owned the business ever since, recently sold it to another local family, Kelly and Doug Glennon.
The Hagans' professional relationship with the Glennons far precedes the business changeover. Doug helped the Hagans build a website and Facebook page for Jewelry Creations years ago, and Kelly Glennon worked on a testimonial ad for the business a decade ago. The Glennons hope to continue in the Hagans' footsteps to become mainstays of the Dover downtown and the community as a whole.
