A new tradition in Clear Creek ISD takes seniors on a walk through the halls of their old elementary and intermediate schools in their caps and gowns. These "Grad Walks" are meant to celebrate the success and accomplishments of the graduates while also sparking excitement and inspiring the younger students.

KNIGHT TO KNIGHT SCIENCE FESTIVAL

Mossman Elementary hosted a Science Festival where 5th grade students brought science to life for kindergarteners through different hands-on activities they created. Dr. Sandra Mossman, former CCISD superintendent, even made a special appearance to congratulate the students on their hard work. This event was made possible through a Clear Creek Education Foundation grant.

YOUNG INVENTORS
Two League City Elementary third graders placed in the 29th Annual Young Inventors Showcase in Houston. Approximately 100 students from grades kindergarten through 8th grade brought their innovative inventions to be judged at River Oaks Elementary School on May 20Destiny won 2nd place for her "Fly Bye-Bye" invention and Maya won 3rd place for her "Shoes Stay On" invention at the event. The Young Inventors Showcase demonstrates the innovative thinking and creative ideas of our children from around the Greater Houston Area.
DUAL LANGUAGE GRADUATES

Thirteen years ago, a group of kindergarteners made history when they began their journey as the first class in Clear Creek ISD's Dual-Language Program. They will now be graduating high school together this week. The students and staff who helped form and grow the Dual-Language Program over the years came together recently at McWhirter Elementary to celebrate this milestone and the success of these students.

MARATHON RUNNERS AT ED WHITE

Parents, teachers and fellow students lined the streets outside of Ed White Elementary to cheer on a large group of marathon runners! The event, capped off with a police escort, celebrated 450 students who were able to run 26.2 miles or more during the school year. It was sponsored by Running Alliance Sport.

Seniors in the Teacher Education Training program at Clear Springs High School signed their letters of intent through the CCISD Human Resources Department which states they will be granted an automatic interview with the District when they graduate college in four years with their teaching certifications if they meet all of the requirements. The students, whose interests after college include teaching kindergarten, becoming an attorney for a school district and opening schools in third-world countries, also had the opportunity to thank their mentors for guiding their passions through high school.
CELEBRATING HISPANIC HERITAGE

Staff, students and parents gathered to celebrate Hispanic Heritage at Stewart Elementary. The crowd enjoyed watching students in kindergarten through fifth grade perform dances from diverse cultures across Latin America.
