June 6-11: Principal Charity Classic
Volunteers are needed to marshall hole #7 where they will spot golf balls and quiet the crowds. Volunteers can sign up and pay their $85 through the Variety office. Volunteer registration includes a Principal Charity Classic golf shirt, jacket, hat/visor and free admission throughout the tournament. Email

July 8: Color Run
Color Run is a 5K race where participants are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer. Volunteers are needed to assist with set up, check in, to hand out t-shirts and water, throw color and tear down. Variety receives a donation from the Color Run for providing volunteers. Sign up

July 15: Polo on the Green
Polo on the Green is the #PartyoftheSummer featuring a live polo match, dinner, auction and dancing. Volunteers are needed to assist with set up, drink tickets and tear down. Sign up

July 18: Zoo Day
One volunteer is needed act as the Variety mascot at the Blank Park Zoo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Email

Leinenkugel Golf Invitational
August 15 in Cedar Rapids
Join us Tuesday, August 15, for a great day of golf to support the
 children of Eastern Iowa! Morning and afternoon tee times are available. Shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. You will enjoy a best shot Invitational with 4 red tees and 4 mulligans per group.
The morning groups will enjoy a light breakfast and lunch while
 our afternoon groups will enjoy lunch and dinner. The day also features a silent auction and specialized bike presentation. Gather a foursome of friends, co-workers or clients for a great day of gold.

The Variety Star Playground
Variety broke ground on it's second all-inclusive playground on May 16 at
Noelridge Park in Cedar Rapids.
The 9,600-square foot Variety Star Playground is scheduled to open mid-July. The playground will be the first all-inclusive play area in Cedar Rapids. Learn more about the
