Dear parents and families,

"In him you also, when you had heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and had believed in him, were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit.” - St. Paul

Tonight our 8th graders will be receiving the sacrament of Confirmation. Fr. Drummond met and interviewed each student, and Bishop Burbidge will be speaking with them prior to Mass, these meetings, partnered with Mrs. Howard's extraordinary guidance, ensures they are most definitely prepared.  Please keep them in your prayers as they take this next important step in their spiritual journey towards Christ.

A huge congratulations to our school band and Dr. Little for receiving 3rd place at the Hershey Park Band Competition! Advanced Bank has worked incredibly hard this year and it is wonderful for the hours of practice and their talent to be recognized.

Tomorrow our fourth graders take a trip back in time to Colonial Days! They will be out of the classroom and conducting arts and crafts just like they were back in one of the 13 original colonies. There is also a new play the students will be performing. They students have been tirelessly practicing the play and the Virginia Reel, so please join us for the colonial action!

We are in desperate need of volunteers for Field Day next week. Traditionally two parents from each grade have been required to come and assist the students during games. Mr. Muha and the 8th graders have a slew of fun and exciting games for everyone, but you can't spell Young Outside Fun without  Y.O.U! If you can volunteer, please email Mr. Muha at [email protected]

We are still on the lookout for PTO officers for next year. This is a very important element of our school and necessary to the success of all in our community. If you are interested in volunteering for a position, please email Mr. Cinalli at [email protected]

The final day of school this year will be on June 9th. PreK's last day is June 1st. Our 8th graders' final day will be on June 7th.

There will be a McDonald's Spirit Night tomorrow from 5:30-7:30. There is a rumor Ronald McDonald himself will be in attendance!

Next week, June 1st, our 8th graders will be performing Mulan Jr at 6:30, Off-Broadway in the school auditorium. Please be sure to mark it on your calendar and attend. From the practice I've seen, this will be a show you don't want to miss!

God bless,

Daniel Cinalli
Principal
MEDIEVAL TIMES

Our 8th graders were treated to a trip to Medieval Times from Fr. Drummond for a trip back to the days of chivalry, knights, maidens, kings, and jousting. It was a wonderful day and although our Red and Yellow Knight lost his duel, our students had a fun time. This will be a new annual tradition for our 8th grade class from Fr. Drummond.

A big thanks to Mrs. Ayers, Mr. Muha, and Fr. Carr for joining me in chaperoning.

First and Second Grade STEM Field Trip
Our First and Second graders took a field trip to the Smithsonian Institution National Air and Space Museum Udvar-Hazy Center today. They enjoyed touring the center, seeing planes and spacecraft, and getting to interact with robots! A particularly exciting exhibit had our students creating paths for robots to follow!

Thank you to Mrs. Socarras, Mrs. Tette, and all our chaperones for such a fun field trip!

Achieving weekly exercise goals can be difficult at first, however, there are many ways to keep exercise part of your weekly routine.  Some suggestions to help you find the time to exercise and keep yourself motivated are:

* Set aside specific days and times for exercise so it becomes part of your regular routine.
* Exercise with someone else, such as your spouse, your children, your friends or your dog.
* Participate in a variety of activities so boredom doesn't set in.
* Start with 10 minute intervals, then add more minutes each time you exercise.
* Mix both moderate-intensity and vigorous-intensity activities during the same week.

Stay healthy,

“Remember, then, that you received a spiritual seal, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of knowledge and reverence, the spirit of holy fear. Keep safe what you received. God the Father sealed you, Christ the Lord strengthened you and sent the Spirit into your hearts as the pledge of what is to come.” - St. Ambrose
