Ben Johnson Elementary FUTP 60 Team Helps Promote Dairy to Students
The Ben Johnson Elementary School Fuel Up to Play 60 (FUTP 60) team led by program advisor D.J. Riggs won "Best in Group" at the Kentucky Student Technology Leadership Program State Championship in Lexington. The team shared how they are encouraging others to fuel up with dairy and other healthy foods, along with getting at least 60 minutes of activity each day. Nearly 8,000 K-12 students and 1,800 adults, representing 499 schools from 49 districts, participated in the competition.

On April 21 staffer Jenny Beth Kroplin appeared on WBKO-TV News Midday Live in Bowling Green to discuss the role of dairy in seasonal allergy relief. She highlighted probiotics in kefir and Greek yogurt and the vitamin D in yogurt, milk and cheese and featured an Indian spice dip made with Greek yogurt.  Click here to see the segment.

Dairy Promoted at Glasgow-Barren County Boys and Girls Club
On April 18, staffer Alan Curtsinger met with the Glasgow-Barren County Boys and Girls Club after-school members to discuss the importance of dairy as part of a healthy diet and ways to get at least 60 minutes of physical activity each day. Club members then enjoyed making ice cream in a bag using milk, vanilla, and sugar before working towards their daily goal of 60 minutes of physical activity in the gym.

"Undeniably Dairy" Campaign Launches in May
On May15 national and local checkoffs officially rolled out "Undeniably Dairy," the multi-year campaign to build consumer trust in all things dairy. Because many consumers are confused by all the conflicting information about dairy, the dairy community is drawing a line in the sand to proactively and proudly tell dairy's story. This effort aims to bring the industry together as one voice, rekindling consumers' love and trust for dairy. You can participate in this industry-wide campaign by using the Undeniably Dairy logo and hashtag #undeniablydairy on your social channels.
