These are exciting times to be in the construction industry in the Carolinas. Most cities in North and South Carolina can boast of construction projects and tower cranes dotting the skyline. Nearly every construction sector is growing, as there is renewed confidence in the industry's economic future. ABC is excited to be your business partner as we continue to offer, and develop new, programs to help your business succeed.

For the last several months, the ABC Carolinas Board and Staff members along with our outstanding Council leadership and committees has been engaged in strategic planning process to develop our plan for the next 5 years. During this process, we've had the opportunity to hear from our members via surveys, interviews and planning sessions. We've taken your input and insights and have developed a new strategic plan for ABC of the Carolinas that we will be unveiling this summer.

Ballpark to Celebrate our Apprenticeship Graduates!

Join us May 23 at BB&T Ballpark to recognize our 2017 Apprenticeship Graduates. The gates open at 6:00pm, followed by on-field recognition of our graduates at 6:45pm. At 7:00pm, our Valedictorian will deliver the opening pitch.

Tickets include seating in our picnic area, food and soft drinks, and $7 voucher, and will be available to pick up the day of the game. ABC will have a table outside the main gate for you to pick up tickets.

Carolinas Signing Day

ABC welcomes 40+ apprentices as they signed to start their careers in construction at ABC's Charlotte facility.

Appreciation for Our Apprentices

Apprentices, the future of the electrical industry. Gaylor's apprentices are dedicated people that after working on jobs, they attend apprenticeship classes to learn the electrical trade. The Carolinas have two apprentices to recognize for going above and beyond. Below left is John Blackwood. John works in the Carolinas Pre-Fab Department. The ABC Training Center where John attends classes was in need of a pipe rack and John and the pre-fab dept. built one for them. Beside John is Jeff Morris, Carolina ABC Director of Apprenticeship. Jeff expresses his sincere appreciation to John and to Gaylor Electric for seeing a need and supplying a solution.
