The Greater Boston Interfaith Organization (GBIO) is hosting a large action right here at Temple Israel. Over 800 members from across GBIO's 40 plus congregations will be coming together to demonstrate and build our power. We'll be working and engaging on our core issues: criminal justice reform, health care, affordable housing, and our new "Out of Many, One" campaign - standing together with our immigrant, Muslim and all of our neighbors in this post-election reality. Fueling Extremism in a Wired World

Wednesday, May 17 at 7:00 p.m. at the Boston Public Library, Rabb Hall Nazis used radio; today's extremists use social media. Then as now, new technology provides extremists with the unchecked ability to spread hate and prey upon disenfranchised audiences to realize their deadly agenda. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum invites you for a talk about how societies can counter these hateful messages and keep the world safe. This event is free and open to the public, but reservations are requested. Temple Israel is a co-sponsor. |
TI Goes to "Sleeping Beauty"

Saturday, May 20 at 6:45 p.m. Join Temple Israel as we go to the Boston Ballet. Beverages and bites followed by Tchaikovsky's "The Sleeping Beauty" choreographed by Marius Petipa and Frederick Ashton. One of the dancers in this iconic production, Isaac Akiba, grew up in our congregation. In addition to a ticket, the $75 fee includes heavy appetizers, beverages, and a backstage tour with TI member Marie Schwartz. Limited to 40, open to the entire congregation. RSVP to Julie. |
