Changing Communities | Cambiando Comunidades (May-September)

6th Annual Make Music LA Registration is Open
Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action).

Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
Everyone needs comforting this year more than ever. We have community members who are living in fear. You can help to alleviate some of the tension in your neighborhoods by embracing the arts. Music is a healer. Make Music LA is an outreach opportunity to bring people out of their homes onto the front porch or into a park or community garden for a concert.  Registration is now open.   READ MORE
Avenue 50 Studio invites you to participate in Trees of Life!  June 21-25, 2017
12pm-8pm
From Avenue 50 through Avenue 60
Trees of Life is an Avenue 50 Studio production in collaboration with L.A.N.I., and supported by the Historic Highland Park Neighborhood Council, and the City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation and Community Arts Resources as part of Vision Zero.

“Vision Zero is a city(nation)wide initiative that makes safety the highest priority of our streets. Every year, more than 200 people are killed while trying to move throughout our city. Nearly half the people killed on our streets are those who were walking or bicycling, and an alarming number of them are children and older adults. In fact, traffic collisions are a leading cause of death for children in Los Angeles.”
Vision Zero: zero traffic deaths on our streets by the year 2025!
