Come join us for hands on learning for Software Version 8.  Sharon will guide you through lessons on these new features including: Instant Auto digitizing, cutwork applique, couching, quick monograms, automatic multi-hooping, knife tool, 3D globe effect and color photo-stitch to name a few!

SOFTWARE INSPIRATIONS 
Lesson Lesson 5: Multi Hooping (Automatically add a hoop)   
CD's will be available after May 8th at the store.  These lessons will be presented by Debbie Lashbrook  and are PACKED with very practical information.  We will be offering the CD's with the lesson directions in a pdf with pictures of the project, video of the BERNINA educator presenting the lesson and designs at a cost of $10.00.  We won't be meeting as a group but the CD's can be picked up at the store at your convenience.

You won't want to miss out on this special 3 day event with Bernina Educator, Shelly Fitzgerald. Those of you who attended her Fancy Feet and Fancy Stitches classes know what a great teacher she is! During these classes you will be learning many techniques that your Bernina 880 is capable of, as you work on creating this pillow and bag. Bring your machine, embroidery module and all accessories and sewing supplies. Cost including kit is $150 (non-refundable) and lunch each day is provided.

TIP OF THE MONTH
More of what NOT to do while sewing
1.  Using your teeth to cut your thread
2.  Not ironing your fabric before you cut your pattern 
3.  Getting in too much of a sewing groove (AKA not paying              attention to what you are doing) 
4.  Knowingly using the wrong needle for a project 
5.  Thinking, "I'll just hem this later" (later is one year) 
6.  Setting anything on your cutting table that does not directly             relate to the project you are working on 
7.  Not changing your rotary blades often enough. 
8.  Sewing Over Pins 
9.  Taking too many sewing short cuts 
10. Letting those little threads/ fabric scraps go everywhere but           the trash can 
11. Not snipping your threads after every seam 
12. Trying to take on too many projects at once

BERNINA SEW-CIAL CLUB
Embroidery Class - Tuesday, May 9th 9:30-12:30
This month you will be sewing your own Cell Phone Charging Station. This is all done in the hoop. This class is taught by Patty and is $20 for class & kit.
