In part 3 of the current series, Eric Barger editorializes concerning the growing need for discernment among remnant believers today. Too often believers reject unfavorable news about pastors or teachers they are personally endeared to. A continued blind acceptance of error is often the result instead of reevaluating their positions, coming to grips with biblically-based data.
In an excerpt from the "Truly Confused Evangelicals" DVD set, Barger points out a common postmodern error, steeped in liberal theology, taught by popular Atlanta pastor of over 20,000, Andy Stanley.
Conversely, Eric also points out the troubling trends that have turned biblical apologetics into near blood sport. Barger says that grace is mandatory and that correction - not one-upmanship - should be the goal.
