recycle
Q: I got a new computer. How can I recycle my old one?

Aces High now accepts electronics during business hours for a fee. In partnership with Blue Star Recyclers, electronics are being disassembled and providing jobs for people in Denver with disABILITIES.

Q: Our Christmas tree is sitting in our yard getting brown, can it go in the trash?

Christmas trees can be used for mulch. The City of Steamboat Springs is offering free Christmas tree recycling until January 31 at Howelsen Hill Ice Arena. All lights, decorations and tinsel must be removed before recycling.

Q: I am about to buy a new mattress. What do I do with my old one?

Aces High, in partnership with Spring Back Colorado Mattress Recycling, is accepting mattresses for a small $25 fee during business hours. Mattresses are then taken to Denver or Fort Collins to be disassembled by disenfranchised men and materials sold for reuse.

Spare the Air, reduce idling
Spare the Air

Join the community effort

Remember that idling your vehicle gives you 0 miles per gallon, pollutes the air as much as smoke from three packs of cigarettes in just one minute, and is not the best way to warm up your engine (gentle driving is recommended). Also, leaving an unattended vehicle idling is against the law in Colorado.
