Be prepared for the flu and flu-like conditions! Student Health Services is ready to help you #FightFlu this year and prevent the spread as across our campus.

First, know the symptoms of flu (pictured right). And remember that you CAN have the flu without a fever!

Once diagnosed, Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that the patient stay in his/her residence except to get medical care or for other necessities for at least 24 hours after fever is gone without the use of a fever-reducing medicine . This includes not attending classes for students. A fever is defined as 100°F (37.8°C) or higher. (You can get your class excuse from Student Health Services at your appointment.)

SHS also has assembled flu kits that can be provided to the students to help containing tissue, hand sanitizer, soup, crackers, ginger ale, Gatorade, and thermometer. More flu Information from the cdc.gv/flu.
All New First Year Students under the age of 21 are required to complete the online courses  AlcoholEdu for College (Alcohol Prevention & education) and  Haven (Sexual Assault Prevention & Education).
Transfer, Adult and International Students Only Have To Complete Haven.
