FIELD TRIPS: Mr. Bruton's junior Humanities students Ryan Amer, Spencer Cadieux , Jack Cline , Ty Ewen , Franck Germain , Juan Mareco , Connor Modd , Rhys Rodriguez , Alex Tembo and KT Tlelima visited the Fredericksburg National Military Park this week.  This is the site of the December 1862 battle in which Lee's Army of Northern Virginia defeated Burnside's Union Army of the Potomac. When Lincoln promoted Burnside to command the Union's largest army, Burnside protested that he was not qualified for the job. He proved it at Fredericksburg where Lee inflicted about 13,000 casualties on the Union army at a price of 5,000 Confederate casualties as he thwarted the Union's third major offensive into Virginia.

The Reverend Anne West's Humanities students Tony Jin, Juno Park, Joe Qin, Jimmy Yang and Ben Zhou toured the National Cathedral this week.
