WE NEED YOU TO JOIN WITH LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS MEMBERS OF ALBANY COUNTY AS WE PARTICIPATE IN THE ALBANY WOMEN'S MARCH!
WHEN: Saturday, January 20, 2018 TIME: 1-3 PM
SPEAKERS AND PROGRAM: Alfred E. Smith Bldg. steps, across the street from the West Capitol Park, Swan Street, Local representatives and organization representative will speak, including Barbara Bartoletti, retired LWVNYS Legislative Director.
MARCH: After the program, attendees will march down Washington Avenue, around the Capital and come up State Street (alongside the Capital). LEAGUE MARCHERS CAN HELP CARRY THE WHITE 6'X3' BANNER! We'll have yellow suffragette sashes to wear also! We'll have voting information to hand out (need volunteers) as well.
LEAGUE ATTENDEES:
At 12:30, meet in front of the Cathedral of All Saints, Swan and Elk Streets, at 12:45 to organize and walk 1 block to the Smith Bldg.
Who Can Attend? Anyone! Let your voice be heard in support of League positions
on
important issues... sexual harassment, discrimination against women, LGBTQ's, minorities of all types, reproductive rights, fair pay, healthcare, the Bill of Rights. The lists go on and on!!!
