Just because the regular dance season is done doesn't mean you have to take the whole summer off dance! There are lots of options from summer dance camps to drop in classes and summer intensives. Summer programs are great for many reasons, not only does it keep dancers in shape during the off season, it allows those who have never danced or those looking to try a new style a great opportunity to give it a go without having to commit to a full year. For budding dancers this is especially useful to see if they're ready for full classes and what type of dance discipline they'll enjoy. It's also a great opportunity to try something new in terms of instruction. Sometimes trying somewhere different will give a dancer a new perspective or way of seeing something. And of course if you're looking for a studio this is a great way to get a glimpse into how they run their classes and handle both the dancers and parents. Summer Intensives offer those students looking to possibly make dance a career a glimpse into what it takes to make it in this industry. No matter what you're looking for there's a summer dance program out there for you, take a look at what's happening this summer in the dance community!
