The BIG Picture...at St. Paul's
May 25, 2017

Happy Memorial Day
Let Us Not Forget Those Who Gave Their All

Daughters of the King  will meet in the library on June 11, 2017
following the service.

The Prayer Office of Evensong is offered every Friday at 5:30 p.m.  Consider ending your work week with this time of song, prayer, scripture and the life of one of our heroes of the faith.

Don't forget next Sunday, June 4th - Pentecost Sunday -
gather with us at 9:15 for an opportunity  for an inter-generational learning event.   Open to all ages.  Meet in the Guild Hall.

Midweek gatherings begin June 7th
see the information provided in this Sunday's bulletin and fill out a green reservation form.   The theme for these talks is:  "Why We Do the Things We Do."
See our website for more details.

Wednesday morning Book Study
meets in the Guild Hall  at 10:00 a.m.
Current book being studied is Ladder of the Beatitudes.
A copy can be obtained by contacting Carol Sutek.

Daily Meditations and Scripture -
Forward Day by Day
The latest edition of Forward Day by Day has arrived in both pocket size and large print.  Coming highly recommended by Elizabeth Mapp, Forward Day by Day is a
booklet of daily inspirational meditations reflecting on a specific Bible passage, chosen from the daily lectionary readings as listed in the Revised Common Lectionary or the Daily Office from the Episcopal Church's Book of Common Prayer.  You can pick up a copy of Forward Day by Day found in the literature rack by the 5th Street entrance.  If you are unable to attend services, please contact Peggy in the church office
and she will mail a copy to you.

Have something on your mind
you want to share with your St. Paul's family?
Share it at "Teresa Talks"
during the coffee hour after the June 4th Service.
Following the positive congregation
response to the first "Teresa Talks" on May 7, St. Paul's Senior Warden Teresa Dixon plans to continue the gatherings on the first Sunday of each month (except holidays).  Teresa will lead these chats, but the agenda will be the congregation's to shape as she and the Vestry attempt to build and develop better communication with members.
And the coffee and treats are good, too!
So, come share with us at "Teresa Talks."

Our parish family sincerely thanks Jon Coventry for the Homily and Douglas Colmery for leading our morning prayer this Sunday while Fr. Erv is on vacation.

Our parish family would also like to sincerely thank Mr. Charles Neal who voluntarily cut the grass this past week.  Thank you, Charles!
