Trinity Sunday
June 11, 2017

"We invite everyone to share communion around God's altar.
We strive to be a welcoming and relevant Christian community doing what matters through prayer, worship, teaching, outreach, fellowship, and service.

We will demonstrate the real life application of scripture, tradition, and
reason by providing a safe place to respond to each other's needs,
hurts, joys, and interests."

Women's Bible Study
Thursday, June 8 (Today), at 6:00 p.m.

The Women's Bible Study group is reading Mark Buchanan's  Spiritual Rhythm: Being With Jesus Every Season of Your Soul .  The Spring section will be covered this week.

The group plans to meet the second Thursday of each month; however, that is subject to change based on participants' schedules.

Please join us for this rewarding time together and bring your friends!  If you have any questions, please contact Tera Johnston.

Family Promise Hosting
June 11-18, 2017

Resurrection will be hosting three families beginning June 11th:  M om #1 has a 17-year-old daughter; mom #2 has two boys, 8 and 10 years old; and mom #3 has a 5-year-old boy and a 10-month-old baby.  One mother is a vegetarian and one of the boys is lactose-intolerant, so please keep that in mind if you are preparing a dinner.  If you have any questions, please call me.

We are still in need of a volunteer to prepare dinner on Saturday, June 17th.  In addition, overnight hosts are needed for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.  If you can help, contact  Don Parrish @ 706-348-2240.

Thank you to all the faithful Family Promise volunteers.

This Week's Anthem:

Shout to the Lord/
All Creatures of Our God and King
A solo by Dolores Chandler

My Jesus, my Savior
Lord, there is none like You
All of my days, I want to praise
The wonders of Your mighty love
My comfort, my shelter
Tower of refuge and strength
Let every breath, all that I am
Never cease to worship You
Shout to the Lord, all the earth, let us sing
Power and majesty, praise to the King
Mountains bow down and the seas will roar
At the sound of Your name
I sing for joy at the work of Your hands
Forever I'll love You, forever I'll stand
Nothing compares to the promise I have in You
All creatures of our God and King
Lift up your voice and with us sing
Alleluia, alleluia
Thou burning sun with golden beam
Thou silver moon with softer gleam
O Praise Him, O Praise Him
Alleluia, alleluia
Alleluia, alleluia
Shout to the Lord

Christian Formation
If the Resurrection did happen, there must be some difference not only in our lives, but also for the world. What is the hope when faced with  death, decay, and brokenness? How can one survive the destructive powers of this world?  The answer to this question involves a journey into the tomb and an emergence out of it.  Join us in our Christian formation time at 9:30 on Sunday mornings as we continue this eight-week focus on the Practices of Resurrected Life.
Don't forget your Traveling Butterfly!

Be sure to take a Resurrection butterfly with you as you go on your travels this summer.  Send us pictures so that we can live vicariously through you!
