"Lucky Garden" by Ouizi
Opening Friday, May 26th, Detroit artist and muralist Ouizi unveils her latest solo exhibition Lucky Garden at Inner State Gallery. This entirely new body of work highlights Ouizi's lifelong exploration into the neologism she has coined as "Chinese Americana." Mixing nostalgic childhood memories with her own continually evolving floral imagery and hypnotic patterns, Ouizi will create a gallery-wide installation featuring more than 40 new works.

Opening Reception, Friday May 26th,
7-10pm. [Eastern Market, Detroit]

Digital Ambivalence
Trinosophes is excited to host its second solo exhibition by Detroit artist Chris Riddell. While Riddell is best known for his collage, drawings and paintings, this show presents nearly two hours-worth of videos produced in rapid-fire time for his Instagram account, Riddellagram. Included are moving images of his two-dimensional artwork, as well as self-portraits, documentation of his neighborhood and footage he abstracted from television, film and Youtube, becoming a kind of distorted prism of mainstream pop culture and the underground.

Opening Reception, Friday May 26th,
6-9pm. [Eastern Market, Detroit]

"My work is a simplicity of line and design elements that probably have grown out of my many years teaching the basics of design composition. The new work is partly memory drawing and partly model drawing using black and colored markers. The markers suit my impatience. Come see my show and tell me what you think!" - Linda Logan. Opening reception: June 2 from 6-9 pm

Opening Reception, Wednesday May 31st,  12-5pm.  [Ferndale, Detroit]

Show runs through June 30th.
