Hello All,
I just want to remind everyone why we need a GREAT BIG turn out for our Yappy Hour event June 15th at 94 West in Orland Park!!
As everyone knows we have been hit extremely hard financially, emotionally and physically in 2017 with the abrupt onset of our parvo pups and subsequent pneumonia complications.
The reason I started this rescue was to help the pets that needed us most. The ones that are abandoned, injured, sick, young and old alike.
Unfortunately pets get sick and when they do we have a choice. Euthanize them or treat them. HWH makes a commitment to every single pet we take in that they will get the best care, love and attention they deserve. Where others might give up we choose to go the extra mile.
Obviously Elaine & Pete tested all our limits and resources but only with everyone's help were they able to pull through. Never, not once did the vets say they didn't think Elaine wasnt going to make it. Of course how could anyone know that even after all of those generous donations we would still owe just shy of $20,000. We could have stopped treatment and dug ourselves out quicker but to be honest...i think we'd rather have a $40,000 live puppy than a $20,000 box of ashes! Unfortunately we still have our day to day expenses like Midwest vet bills, South Suburban spays/neuter bills, medical supplies/order, flea prevention, food and emergencies!
So PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE share this flyer, invite your friends, families and neighbor's to help Half-Way Home get back on our feet by coming out to support us June 15th 5-9pm at 94 West in Orland Park!!
*Please encourage people to prepay
