Homelessness in Minnesota: Youth on Their Own
New analysis of 2015 Minnesota Homeless Study data shows that young people on their own are some of the least visible and most vulnerable people experiencing homelessness. A new report, Homelessness in Minnesota: Youth on Their Own, provides information on the backgrounds, housing histories, education, employment, health issues, and other characteristics of youth interviewed as part of the study.

Among the report's findings: youth are less likely than adults to stay in shelters, and have fewer legal provisions for housing and other basic needs. The data also show that racial disparities are particularly glaring in the population of youth experiencing homelessness.
