Makeup is for Everyone!

Ever wanted to try makeup but never felt like you could for whatever reason? Here is an introductory and all inclusive event just for you! Makeup experts and makeup novices also welcome to come join our event as we also engage in discussion and analysis of what makeup should be for, on subjects of gender presentation, body image, and self care. 

GIVEAWAY RAFFLE:
As part of the event, we will be raffling off makeup from Colourpop, Coloured Raine, an d a Juvia's Place Nubian Palette! The latter two companies are black owned businesses. Support your black owned businesses!

PLEASE NOTE:
Due to the raffle, the event will be capped at 45 people on first come, first serve basis.


APIMEDA LGBTQ Family Luncheon

We're excited to host an Asian Pacific Islander Middle Eastern Desi American (APIMEDA) LGBTQ Family Luncheon!  This luncheon is a closed space for APIMEDA LGBTQ students, staff, and faculty at UC San Diego to come together, share a meal, and find community around common intersecting APIMEDA and LGBTQ identities. 

We're requesting an RSVP here for this event so that we can make sure that we properly prepare for food and space.  We also know that some folks may have class or limited lunch schedules for work, and so we hope you will be able to join for as much of this event as you can.  Please feel free to share this with other APIMEDA LGBTQ identifies UCSD community members.



Pantano Camp

Come de-stress before finals at the LGBT Resource Center's very first annual Pantano* Camp. Come join us at the screening of Shrek in Spanish! 

The screening will start at 7pm. Subtitles will be in either in English or Spanish depending on the audience.
*Pantano translates to swamp






Rainbow Graduation
Saturday, June 10th, 2017 
2-4pm, UC San Diego Faculty Club 

Please join the UC San Diego LGBT community as we come together to honor the students who are graduating, our volunteers, our scholarship recipients and all who have impacted our community over the last year.

The event serves as the formal induction of the graduates into the family of the UC San Diego LGBT Alumni. Although many people do get dressed up for the event, it tends to be a queer little get together, with all the trappings of our community, so be yourself.

Peer Educator Workshop Requests

In need of workshops that provide incite on LGBTQIA+ issues and information about the community? The LGBT center is taking requests for workshop presentations to be given around campus upon request.

We are all in this together. Given the current political and activist climate now more than ever support and coalition building are key. All peep's is a chance to say thank you and to acknowledge all the efforts in the streets, on social media, in our organizations and classrooms. Every place people woke up and spoke up. Now is the time to rejoice, laugh, and remember for the work continues.

The All-People's recognition ceremony is an annual event recognizing community efforts by affiliate organizations, social justice leadership academy, volunteers, and graduating students.

Queer Xicano Chisme: Online Empowerment & Chisme Toward Healing

Hola Todos! Come to the Centro Tuesday of week 9 to meet Queer Xicano Chisme, a UC Alum (Davis '16) who has taken their activism and self care from the community to online platforms. Through social media, QXC aims to empower and be a voice (read: not THE voice) for queer, cicanitos through the spread of some HOT chisme* 

*Chisme is gossip, oral hxstory, sharing, news, and ancestral knowledge as practices by many chicanx/latinx folks





   
Queer & Trans Clothing Swap
Sunday, June 4th, 2017
11am-4pm, Women's Center

Come take part in an amazing clothing swap for queer and trans people! The goal of the clothing swap is to enable LGBT people to have access to clothing that they feel comfortable in with regards to their gender expression.
This event is geared toward queer and transgender people throughout San Diego, particularly students and those who are low-income and might not be able to afford clothes that they feel comfortably represents their gender. However, this is open to queer, trans, questioning, and gender non-conforming people from all walks of life.
All clothes here will be up for grabs, but you do not need to bring clothes in order to take clothes.
