WOMEN: REGISTER YOUR 'FAB FOUR'
FOR THE RDGA WOMEN'S TEAM SCRAMBLE!

Women
members of the Rochester District Golf Association have many opportunities to enter fun, challenging and competitive tournaments this season.

Among the events open exclusively for women on the 2016 RDGA tournament schedule is our first ever Four-Person Handicap Team Scramble for women - to be hosted by CenterPointe Country Club on Sunday, June 12.

The Women's Team Scramble will offer a full day of golf, friendship and fun - and will feature a popular team format, with each player having the opportunity to contribute to her team's overall score on every shot. Play will be conducted from CenterPointe's Red Tees, at 5,171 yards and playing to a par of 71.

Entering the RDGA Women's Team Handicap Scramble is easy:
  • Teams will consist of four women golfers - that's it!
  • Players will be able to chose who to play with: teams may come from the same club or from different clubs.
  • All levels of play are welcome - part of your strategy is putting together a team with the winning combination of skills and handicaps.
  • THE RDGA WILL COMPUTE YOUR TEAM HANDICAP FOR YOU. Simply put together a team and register to play!
  • If you don't have a full team and want us to help you find players, contact Debbie Harper at: debbieharper@rdga.org.
Scoring for this tournament will follow a basic scramble format:
  • Each player tees off with the best drive selected and marked.
  • All players will then play the next shot from within a club length (scorecard length on greens) of the mark.  Any ball selected requires each player to play the next shot from the same condition.  This process will continue until the team holes out to complete each hole.
  • Each player must use her tee shot at least 3 times during the 18 hole round.
  • A player must not tap in a short putt before her partner has attempted her shot. Once the ball is holed, the team's score is fixed.
The entry fee for the Women's Team Handicap Scramble is $240 per team and includes: golf, cart, use of the practice range, a Vera Bradley tee gift, prizes and hors d'ouerves after the round during the scoring and awards presentation. Prizes will be awarded to Tournament Low Gross and Low Net teams, as well as within flights.

So put together your favorite foursome and join us on Sunday, June 12 at CenterPointe for the 2016 RDGA Women's Team Handicap Scramble - and test your golf game in this fun competition!
