Summer in West County means free food and activities for kids!
Summer in West Contra Costa County is a great time for families, thanks in part to community based resources that provide nutrition support and healthy programs.

Many places in our West County communities - including libraries, parks, schools, churches / faith-based organizations and community centers - offer free summer meals made with fresh California fruits and vegetables. Summer meals are for everyone age 18 and under. Bring your children and their friends, starting June 12. For a full list of participating sites, click here or visit summermeals.org

Three ways you can find local locations are listed in the flyer.  -->

There is no enrollment or sign-up, no paperwork and no ID needed. Many locations also offer fun, free activities for kids.
This program is offered by the West Contra Costa Unified School District.

Some sites serve breakfast too!

A full list of sites is available by using the text, phone or app options above. In addition to free summer meals for kids, many locations also offer additional food assistance programs, provided by the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano.
