Spring delivers exciting developments at PODS Association. PODS Lite was launched in April during the Forum. Pipeline Week PODS plenary and business meeting of membership are being planned. Pipeline Week has many interesting and seasoned speakers, a webinar is coming this summer, and we are in the process of rolling out a NEW Member Portal (an online community for our members).

About the Event

In 2016, the third annual event hosted 765 attendees from 15 countries and 35 U.S. States. In 2017, the global event will continue to deliver an invaluable forum for oil and gas pipeline industry professionals as it brings the GITA 26th Annual Oil & Gas Pipeline Conference and the 13th Annual PODS Association User Conference. The joint conferences and exhibition provide an unrivaled opportunity to interact on a personal basis. There's no better place than Pipeline Week to exchange ideas, propelling the industry forward.

This year, a ttendees will benefit from a robust program of operator presentations, dynamic panel discussions, informational technical sessions, and numerous networking functions. As always, the program will target key areas of regulatory compliance, implementation and use of new technologies, asset integrity, and industry best-practices.

New PODS Member Portal, "soft-launch"

We are excited to launch a new feature just for PODS Members. It is a website Portal designed to encourage interaction among PODS members, enable companies to manage their overall account through identified "key contacts," and enables members to manage their individual account information.

PODS Lite is available and being downloaded regularly! Read the BUZZ here.

PODS Lite is a subset of the PODS Next Gen pipeline data mo del. PODS Lite is free of charge to anyone wishing to understand how the POD S Next Gen Data Model is designed to work. This release of PODS Lite is provided in Esri Geodatabase format.

The complete PODS Next Generation Model and Standards are currently in development and scheduled for completion in 2018 and will support relational databases including support for native spatial geometry data types. Note the final PODS Next Gen model will only be available to PODS Association members.
