Rutgers University Ranks Among Top 100 Worldwide Universities Granted U.S. Utility Patents in 2016

According to a new report published by the National Academy of Inventors and Intellectual Property Owners Assocation, Rutgers University is ranked 21st among the top 100 universities worldwide granted U.S. Utility Patents in 2016. The report is published annually, and uses data acquired from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to highlight the important role patents play in university research and innovation. In 2016, the total number of patents granted to Rutgers University was 84, up from 65 in the previous year. In 2015, Rutgers ranked 27th in the world among the top 100 universities.  Read more
2017 Women's Healthcare Innovation and Leadership Showcase Registration Open

Rutgers and the wider NJ, NY, CT, and PA women's healthcare communities are invited to attend the 3rd Women's Healthcare Innovation and Leadership Showcase (WHILS) on June 14 at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. WHILS gathers experts and stakeholders from across the spectrum of healthcare to discuss challenges, share scientific and practical learnings, and spotlight opportunities for innovation and change in women's healthcare. The showcase will include an opening panel discussion, deep-dive breakout sessions, educational posters, curated exhibits and a closing networking reception. Register today!
QED Representatives To Visit Rutgers in Newark and Piscataway, June 9

A representative from the University City Science Center, the organization that runs the QED program , will be visiting Rutgers on June 9 th to talk to researchers interested in applying for the $200K proof-of-concept grant. Those developing technologies that have a nexus with medicine would be eligible to apply for funding. Presentations will take place at 10:30 a.m. in Newark (GSN Conference Room, Conklin Hall, 175 University Avenue) and 2 p.m. in Piscataway (33 Knightsbridge Road, 2 nd Floor East, Room D221).

Submit Your Investigator Conflict of Interest Disclosure in Rutgers eCOI system To Avoid Delays in Award Set-Up

Rutgers University  Policy 90.2.5  requires that principal investigators and all personnel working on research projects disclose financial information that may reasonably be perceived to influence their work. The Rutgers electronic Conflict of Interest (eCOI) system facilitates the submission and review of financial conflict of interest disclosures. Review the Rutgers eCOI Reference Guide, and submit your form to avoid delays in award set-up. 
  
The Award Set-Up Unit (ORSP) will not set up the award until all research team members have submitted a Research Based Certification in eCOI.
