What a Night!!

Thank you to everyone who joined us at our 8th Annual Match Gala!
At Match, we honored Julie H and Tina S with our Power of Two award, celebrating their 11 years of being matched! Julie spoke about a shoe box she has kept since their match started, where she puts all of the keepsakes from their adventures. At the end of the night, we asked all of our guests to write a note to a young person and place it in the shoe box centerpieces on their tables. It has been incredible to look through those notes and we are excited to send out all of the well wishes and words of wisdom to our young people!

It was incredible to be surrounded by a room full of friends and supporters who heard about our big goal and stepped up to help us raise over half a million dollars!

Thanks to your generosity, this year Silver Lining Mentoring will provide more than 350 young people with our unique combination of mentoring relationships, life skills and housing support.

Program Spotlight!

On Sunday, April 30th, mentors, mentees, and program coordinators had a great time at Silver Lining's bi-monthly group event at  Kings Bowl America! These events provide our matches with the opportunity to connect with other mentors and mentees while engaging in a fun activity. Everyone had such a great time bowling, enjoying pizza, and getting to know each other better. We can't wait for our next group event in June!

Host a SLM Book Club!
Silver Lining Mentoring is now offering the opportunity to host a Book Club based on
A Chance In The World , Steve Pemberton's real-life account of his experience in the
foster care system.

You provide the club; we'll provide
the discussion and education!
