APRIL 2017
Looking Ahead
by Dr. Steven Girardot, AVPUE

It's hard to believe another semester and academic year are coming to a close. As we quickly head into the summer- please note a few upcoming dates and deadlines.

OUE Summer Town Hall: Vice Provost Potts will host our semester town hall and networking event in late May/early June. An exact date and time will soon be announced.

Fiscal Year Closeout: Even though the fiscal year officially ends on June 30, financial, purchasing and related deadlines are quickly approaching. Please be sure and review the OUE closeout memo that was emailed in March and is available at oueadmin.gatech.edu.

FASET 2017: The FASET Orientation dates for this summer are listed at the bottom of this newsletter. While FASET is not coordinated by OUE, we play a very critical role in this program that welcomes our new first-year and transfer students. Please be sure these dates are marked on your calendars and plan accordingly.

End-of-Year Assessment and Annual Reports: These reports are due to OUE by June 1 to meet deadlines for the Institute and Provost's Office.

An interview with Kari White, Associate Director of CAE for Living Learning Communities (LLC).

CAE: Project One's Film Scramble Winners

Georgia Tech undergraduate filmmakers, at all levels of experience, were invited to compete in the "2017 Project One Film Scramble." 14 teams participated in the inaugural Project One Film Scramble. Click the link below to see who won and to watch their winning submissions.

SLS: New Site, and Course Information

Over the past year SLS has gone to great lengths to add useful information to their website. In addition to the new look, there is a significant increase in available resources for students, Georgia Tech faculty, and community partners.

Retiring Outlined Georgia Tech Logos

Institute Communications has researched the readability of Georgia Tech logos and concluded that the outline version is generally too difficult to read. As a result, we are retiring outline versions of the Georgia Institute of Technology logo and unit combination logos.

Moving forward, Georgia Tech units are strongly encouraged to use solid logos; however, there is no penalty for the use of outlined logos on existing print materials. Click the link below to download your updated letterhead.
