We know our families are busy over the summer so beginning NEXT WEEK, we will transition to a bi-weekly newsletter through August. Our hope is to be able to keep you informed without bombarding your inboxes! If you have any questions, please let us know.
YOUTH NEWS FOR MAY 23 - 29
Weekly Devotional

God, put Your words in my mouth. Make these words strong and simple.
Make them powerful and prayerful. Make them beautiful and bountiful.
God, put Your words in my mouth. Remind me that you do not call me
to declare verbal pyrotechnics, but to speak Your love, truth, peace,
might. Amen.

Moving Ministry
It's not all heavy lifting when we help families and individuals move from transitional housing or homelessness and into a place to call home. Meet at 9 a.m. at the Crisis Assistance Furniture Warehouse, 333 Dalton Road on the second Saturday of each month. Although some who can do heavy lifting are needed, there are plenty of lightweight, smaller items to be moved, as well. Come along and share in the fellowship. Sign up online or contact Mary Scott Peterson by email or phone (704.927.0242).
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Does your youth need service hours this summer? Consider one of the following options at FPC!
  • We are looking for youth to help with VBS from 9am-noon the week of June 26-29. Only one meeting and no prep! Please contact Tammy Winchip for more info!
  • Volunteers are needed to help with BELL camp this summer. Interact with students from our partner school, Westerly Hills Academy, and get service hours! Click here to sign up!

HELPFUL LINKS

Our mission is to equip and nurture Christ-centered relationships by serving as a spiritual bridge between our youth and their families through worship, service and witness. Through Christian discipleship, our ministry will prepare our youth to articulate and live their faith now and in their journey beyond our walls.
