What should I do if I see a
street light out?

AmerenUE and Cuivre River Electric are responsible for "keeping the lights on" when it comes to street lights in Cottleville. However, if you see a street light has burned out, contact Lindsay Jones, and let her know either the pole ID number or an adjacent street address so she can report it to the appropriate electric company.  [email protected]

Fireworks Regulations

As we prepare to celebrate our Country's Independence Day, we need to remember the City's regulations related to discharging fireworks.  The City allows fireworks to be discharged beginning June 20 and continuing until July 5.  They are allowed to be discharged until 10 pm Sunday through Thursday and until 11 pm on Friday and Saturday.

Please remember the importance of safety and proper handling of the fireworks. Be considerate of your neighbors with the direction they are discharged. Fireworks shall not be discharged in  a negligent manner and the debris left behind should be disposed of properly.

Additional Improvements Coming to the Intersection of Mid Rivers Mall Drive at Cottleville Parkway

Beginning late summer or fall, additional turn lanes and a pedestrian crosswalk will be constructed at the intersection of Mid Rivers Mall Drive at Cottleville Parkway. Improvement plans also include the addition of a trail/pathway on the east side of Mid Rivers Mall Drive.

MoDOT News Release:
Highway N Closure

A portion of Highway N in Cottleville will close June thru July near Eagle Hill Lane between Dardenne Farms and Colonial Green. Businesses will remain OPEN. Anyone who lives in Dardenne Farms or west of there will have to come and go from Route K while anyone in Colonial Green or east of there will have to come and go from Mid Rivers Mall Drive.
The work is necessary so crews can replace a large box culvert under the road.  This work is part of an ongoing project in the area that will widen Highway N from Eagle Hill Lane to Weiss Road.  The road will also be raised about two-and-a-half feet, shoulders and guardrails will be added in certain areas. For more information on the project go to   http://www.modot.org/stlouis/major_projects/RouteNImprovements.htm.

Plans for  Fifth Street Improvements
In Historic Cottleville Continue
A consultant has been engaged to design and plan possible improvements to Fifth Street in Old Town Cottleville from Highway N to St. Charles Street. For many years, the Cottleville Community Improvement District has discussed much needed improvements for Fifth Street in Cottleville's historic district. The intersection at Highway N and Fifth Street is congested and too often, accidents occur at this location. These improvements could include an improved storm water system, curbs, sidewalks, more parking, better street signage and street lighting that would resemble our recent improvements on Main Street or along Highway N. While planning and design work continues, the construction phase for any Fifth Street improvement is not yet completely funded; therefore, a construction timeline has not been set. However, our City Administrator, Rich Francis will be meeting with property owners along the route and he plans for the project to go out to bid this summer.
