Who do eating disorders affect? This Sunday, join Dr. Jason Arnold for a program focusing on myths about eating disorders and how they have contributed to various health problems in family and community members who are affected. He will also discuss how we, as a community, can keep ourselves healthy, both mentally and physically.
Dr. Jason Arnold is a psychologist at both the inpatient psychiatric and eating disorder programs at Walden Behavioral Care. His work focuses on men's health issues, trauma and violence in men, eating disorders in men, and the treatment of muscle dysmorphia. 1:30-3:00pm, 30 JFK Street.Read more here.
Upcoming Programs
June 18: Greg Epstein: Father's Day Stories A lot of us (most of us?) are ambivalent about Father's Day; some of us flat out hate it. Join Greg as he moderates a panel of Hub community members with powerful personal stories to share about the meaning of fatherhood in the 21st century. Talk topics will include: toxic masculinity and the search for better models of manhood; being a single dad-- and being raised by one; fathering as an atheist/agnostic with a religious co-parent; and more. 1:30-3:00pm, 30 JFK Street. Read more here.
June 25: Traci Brown: Mindful Eating Dr. Brown focuses on mindfulness based practices for improving health within communities that have high rates of disease. Now she is bringing those teachings to a broader audience to help others live happier and healthier lives: in this talk, she'll discuss mindful eating. 1:30-3:00pm, 30 JFK Street. Read more here.
