President's Corner

Dear Kiwanis Club of Omaha,

June is well under way and that means it's CWS time! We will be hosting a team from the "Texas Tech Pod" this year, so keep your eye on the results this week to see who we will end up with. Tickets are still available and you can contact Brandon Herring with Papillion Manor at (402) 339-7700 or Nick Schultze with Vesta Voluntary at (402) 884-0605 to purchase tickets or pick some up for your office, friends or family members. Members also have the option of purchasing a pack of tickets to be donated to a local organization such as Omaha Home for Boys or Teammates to be used by kids who wouldn't normally be able to attend a CWS game.

Our Kiwanis Cup Golf Tournament is sold out but we are still looking for door and raffle prizes. If you or anyone you know is interested in donating, please contact Shannon Norman with First Priority Insurance at (402) 880-6988.

We have several exciting opportunities for guests this month with Lynne Sangimino, VP Omaha Market Leader at Cox Communications, at K2B facility tour of Papillion Manor, and an energy update from our very own Dave Kirkwood, SVP Strategic Development and Acquisition at Tenaska. We also have the welcome party on June 17th or 18th for our CWS team at Chris Lake. Please invite more guests to these events to spread the word about all the great things our Kiwanis club is doing for the Omaha community so we can meet our goal of 100 members by our 100th anniversary in January 2019.

This Week's Program
"Cox Communications Omaha Market Leader"

This Friday, we are excited to welcome VP and Omaha Market Leader of Cox Communications of Greater Omaha, Lynne Sangimino. Ms. Sangimino will explore with us how cable television has changed and will change to meet the diverse and competitive needs of our market. Also, the increasing demands for faster, consistent internet service. Questions may be addressed as to the future of home telephone lines, as those seem to be shrinking.

This will be a great and interesting meeting for all, so please bring a friend!
