Exciting week of performances at Peabody!
Wednesday  evening, grades 3-5 took the stage to show off their creativity and hard work!  Ms. G's class shined in their performance of The True Story of the Three Little Pigs.  The fourth graders shared original works, that were created, directed, and produced by the students themselves.  The fifth grade class took us back in time with a radio play, complete with sound effects and commercial breaks.  A big thank you to all the teachers and parents that came out to support our Peabody stars!

Today, our students in Kindergarten through Grade 2 performed an amazing array of musical acts! From body percussion to singing beautiful melodies, we all enjoyed a wonderful job done by our students!

Logan and Knox obtained second place in Scrabble Competition!

Logan Strzepek and Knox Daniel competed in the North American School Scrabble Championship, April 22-23 in Foxboro, MA. After winning all eight of their games in the main rounds, they took a narrow loss in the final to finish 2nd! The event, held at Gillette Stadium (home of the New England Patriots), draws around 200 students from the U.S. and Canada. This was Knox's fourth year to compete and Logan's second.

Alumni Spotlight

We are pleased to honor Rachel Cross in our Spring Peabody Alumni Spotlight. Rachel graduated from Peabody School in 2013 and her brother, Connor, is currently in the eighth grade at Peabody. Rachel is very excited to be attending Williams College in the fall as she says “in some ways, it is similar to Peabody, with small interactive classes where the professors get to know the students and are dedicated to helping them learn.” Read more...

Voyage a Paris

On Tuesday May 9th, KB and KL attended a very special French class, "Visiting Paris" with the author Amy Baird.

Amy Baird read her book  "Blossom and Beenie go to Paris", the  story of two unlikely friends, a Persian cat and a field mouse visiting Paris in their nightgowns! After her reading,  the children ask fun questions to the author and thanked her with a French song.
It was a fabulous traveling experience.
Merci Amy!

This is not a drop off event. As the mosaic is getting higher we need older students, for these two dates, only students from 2nd grade and older. Children should be accompanied by adults.
