The McPherson Chamber of Commerce hosted a Ribbon Cutting for Noffy's Sandwich Shop & Pub on Tuesday, May 16th, to celebrate the Grand Opening of this "East Coast Deli" themed restaurant. Noffy's Sandwich Shop & Pub is located at 210 N. Main. You can reach them at 620-242-1209 and like them on Facebook. Hours are Thursday-Tuesday 11 a.m.-Midnight (closed Wednesday). Summer Food Program- USD 418 provides free meals to children during the summer. This year, meals will be served 8-9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday through Thursday (May 30-July 20) at McPherson Middle School and Lincoln Elementary School. Water Fitness Classes- McPherson Waterpark, 511 N. Lakeside Dr. will offer Water Fitness Classes beginning June 6th. There will be options available for Aqua Class on Tuesdays 7:15-8:00 p.m., Aquacise on Wednesdays 12:00-12:45 p.m. and Aqua Exercise on Thursdays 7:15-8:00 p.m.

Sports Physical Night- 5:00-7:30 p.m. at Integrated Health & Wellness Center, 1319 E 1st and McPherson Eye Care, 1323 E. 1st. Dr. Andrea Herrera, MD ( Great Plains Family Medicine); Dr. Jan. Turnbull-Hageman, O.D.; Dr. Danielle Robertson, DC; and Dr. Brandon Trost, DC., will be performing the required sections of the physicals. A small meal will be provided by Aaron Mayfield, Edward Jones. Physicals are $20, meal is $2. Please bring cash or check for the payment of the sports physicals. The Wonders of Grand Canyon National Park - 7:00 p.m. The Cedars Wellness Center, 1021 Cedars DR. Bob & Judy Carson will share about some of their trips to the Grand Canyon National Park, including three hikes and a 15-minute movie of a Colorado River raft trip through the canyon.

Pilgrimage in Spain and Portugal- 7:00 p.m. The Cedars, 1021 Cedars Dr. Jay Goering walked 140 miles in 17 days on a pilgrimage route which reaches from Lisbon, Portugal to Santiago, Spain. Everyone is welcome to come listen to the story and see the pictures.
