50th Anniversary Alumni Awards
As the College celebrates its 50th Anniversary, the Alumni Association will honor several alumni who are shining examples of achieving professional and personal success since their time on campus. We would like to announce the next group of Star award winners who will be honored on Saturday, September 23, at 4 p.m. in the Large Auditorium on the Marple Campus.

The 2017 Star Alumni Awards include:

  • Ronald Bradley ’80  Vice President, Gas Department of PECO Energy
  • Dr. Rodney Bradley ’01  Adjunct Faculty at Lincoln University, Musician, Community Mentor
  • Yeshu Conn ’09  Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner at Duke University Medical Center
  • Gary Dauberman ’99  Screenwriter Annabelle (2014), Annabelle: Creation (2017) and Stephen King’s It (2017)
  • Scott McAllister ’80 – Deputy Under Secretary, U.S. Department of Homeland Security

The Alumni Association will also recognize two recent graduates who have achieved great success since completing their coursework at the College. The 2017 Rising Star Alumni Awards include:

  • Audra McLaughlin ’13  Season 6 finalist on The Voice and aspiring county music singer.
  • Patrick Viesti ’08  Order Execution Manager, Data Center and Infrastructure Build, Cloud Infrastructure Services, Products and Innovation at SAP America Inc. SAP Autism at Work Advocate and Team Member; Panelist, United Nations World Autism Day 2015.

We hope you will be able to join us on Saturday, September 23 as we celebrate the College’s golden anniversary with a variety of events including the alumni awards presentation.

Golf Classic, June 12
The Delaware County Community College Golf Classic will take place on June 12 at Hershey’s Mill Golf Club.  The College has conducted a successful golf outing for more than 15 years.  Proceeds from our golf outings over the last 16 years have raised $225,000 and supported scholarships for 81 students from Delaware and Chester Counties to date. Alumni Artists Showcase, June 14
The Alumni Association is pleased to present the work of its graduates in the 2017 Alumni Artists Showcase. The showcase opens with a reception on Wednesday, June 14 from 5-7 p.m. in the Art Gallery on the Marple Campus.  Refreshments will be served. The showcase will remain on view until July 13, and the Art Gallery is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but will be closed on Fridays from May 19 to August 11.

Still Time to Make A Difference
There is still time for you to make a donation to the Educational Foundation prior to the end of our fiscal year. In conjunction with Commencement, perhaps consider a donation of $20.17 (or another amount you are comfortable with) to honor the Class of 2017.  All gifts support the Alumni Legacy Scholarship. This month more than 1,100 students will graduate in a ceremony held at Villanova University. Our alumni profile features the top student of the Class of 2017, Gina DiLuzio.
