During her time there, she completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University through the distance-learning program offered at Southside Virginia Community College and became the Clinical Coordinator of the Behavioral Health Unit at SVRMC.

Dana is currently a Registered Nurse with District 19 Community Service Board, serving on the PACT (Program of Assertive Community Treatment) Team, where she was recently recognized as employee of the month.
Her educational/career goal is to become a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the field that has been her passion since her second year in nursing school at SVCC.

Dana urges students, "Never give up.  You may not succeed on your first attempt but if you keep focused you can accomplish anything you put your mind to."
